ROMANIA

PARTA – EX10 EXPLORATION LICENSE & PROSPECTING LICENSES

Operator: ADX

Interest: 50%

The PARTA-EX10 block (Figure 1) covers an area of 1,221 km2 and is located in the oil & gas producing southern Pannonian basin of Western Romania. The block includes seven excised oil and gas fields and is considered underexplored.

Oil and gas exploration activities in Parta ceased with the fall of the Communist regime in Romania in 1989, with exploration activities already very low in the decade prior to the 1989 revolution.

During 2012 ADX has made good progress on several pre-operation initiatives:

• A competitive tendering process for the upcoming 2D and 3D seismic campaign has been completed and a contract has been signed with the Romanian seismic contractor Prospeçtiuni.

• Several new oil prospects have been added to the portfolio which will be the main focus of the 3D acquisition.

• The RAG farm in has secured funding for seismic and drilling.

Following the government ratification in November, preparatory work started on the seismic acquisition in order to fast track the committed work program. Due to the excellent prospectivity for oil and gas identified on vintage seismic data and analysis of past drilling results, we will acquire almost twice as much data as required by the commitment. In order to avoid any significant environmental footprint and minimize crop damage and compensation to farmers the seismic surveys will be acquired with dynamite only. Although it is more costly compared to vibroseis, outstanding high resolution data quality can be expected from dynamite data (The acquisition parameter testing in February 2013 has already confirmed this).

Drilling of the first well is planned to start earliest in late 2013. Due to the relatively shallow target depths and relatively young geological age of rocks in the area (mainly Pliocene and Upper Miocene age) drilling costs are the lowest within the ADX portfolio.

In addition to the Parta operations, ADX has further prepared for the expected 2013 licensing rounds and conducted corporate New Venture activities, some of which still await conclusion at the time of writing this report. As part of these activities ADX has further increased its Romanian database and progressed the evaluation work of its eight prospecting licenses.
